Just a quick question. Just need someone to verify if 18x8's with a +35 offset will work on a 1999 with the tein/tokico combo. Just concerned about the rims interfering with the fenders, I know it will be OK with the strut. I'm hoping to order them today if someone can confirm it for me! Thanks so much!

18x8.5 w/ 35et is what i have on my car right now. x8 should be ok. but you might need to roll/shave your fender. because they sit out more.. also the front will stick out a lil bit more too..

In reality 35et is the lowest you can go if you desperately REALLY want the wheels. BUT 38et would be your best choice w/ no problems and nothing to worry about. if i were you i would go with that choice.

also here is the a tutorial on wheels/offsets.

edit: 32et will not work. lowest you can go is 35et.

this is how rolled fenders would look like and also how 35et will look like on your car.

if im wrong someone correct me. thx

Thanks for the reply Melody. Guess I'll keep looking, don't want to risk it. Having a hard time finding rims I like in either black or gunmetal with a polished lip in the correct offset! Seems like 35 or 45 is the most common.

Mel is Correct as far as the most common offset you wanna go with.. however some wheels manufactures offset can be a little off..

The new wheels that im getting are kinda wierd... G-games by Ray engineering. The wheels have a staggered offset.. its going to have a 19x8 all around however since the rear and front of our cars offset are kindy funky.

Example of how to play with offsets:

the fronts i will have 19x8 with a 42 offset which wheel have the front wheels sit flush with the front fenders.. in the rear im ordering 30 offset to have it sit pretty much flush with the rear fender.

Since our back wheel assembly tend to have a offset that sits inward more then the front this was the best solution to fit it without having to staggeted the wheels with diff width which creates understeer on the FWD car. If you go with diff offset in the front and rear it will give you the staggered look but without affecting the performance if you car's steering by staying with the same width all around...

I actully had a place measure the difference in MM if you were to run the same offset all around from the back and front. the back actually sits about 15mm inward more then the front which is about 3/4".

Hope some of this helps with selecting offsets on your wheels. But with 18x8 with a 38 of even 35 offset you should be fine... but you need to roll or shace the rear fenders..

Thanks man, your car is tight as hell! I found some gloss black 18's w/chrome lip 18x7.5 with +40 offset, should be perfect. Can't wait!
