exhaust time

so ive had my s/c for about 7500 miles now and id say its broken in. since i had the solara i planned on the full jpp header exhaust combo. should i do this or would the apexi with a custom y pipe work as well. if i do just the exhaust first can the jpp headers still match up. and how much will the exhaust "open up" the power. auto s/c wih cai

The biggest bottleneck is in the y-pipe. If you have the cash go for full JPP and forget about it.

im looking for best performance gains. dont want crazy loud exhaust or show type muffler, its all about getting from point a to point b faster.

I have the full JP exhaust system, and I must say, they make a big difference if you have the blower to go with it. If your worried about too much noise, then thats the draw back. As with all performance mods, they drink more fuel and produce more noise (due to a more efficient running motor to free up that restricted power). This system is no buzzer/ gazoo. It sound more very throaty compared to the rear section TRD cat-back exhaust... Hey guys correct me if I'm wrong. I wish you luck on however way you go. :wink:

Go for JPP if you got the $$$$ but if not then do custom y-pipe and either a custom cat-back or like you said jus get the A'pexi or something else. It will be a lot more effective if you went for the full JPP because the headers will become less reistrictive and a better flowing y-pipe with a 3 inch cat-back exhaust. Your S/C will love it

so correct me if im wrong but will the car still be smoggable if i get the jpp setup? what will i need to look for i.e. pluging o2 sensor holes

You will need the switch out the JPP high flo CAT with a OBD II CAT

Hello guy's,

I thought the TRD blower was not Smoggable??? Let along the JP exhaust system. I'm just fortunate to be in a state that doesn't require such strict laws.

you can pass smog with the s/c it has a carb sticker.
