Rebaging a car before sale?

Rebaging a car before sale?

Postby Jon11582 » Wed May 18, 2005 11:03 am

As alot of you know, I'm looking to sell my car. Its currently debaged except for the Toyota symbol. Even if I rebadge it, it wont look stock due to my Cali Dream spoiler. Should I rebadge the "Solara" and the "Toyota" before I try to sell it? or should I leave it as is, or shave it clean?

If I should reattach it, what do i use to reattach it?

Probably rebadging it would be the way to go. As far as how...search me? What are u planning on getting after you sell the Solara?

Solara V6.

I got hit back in January, and the guy paid me out for the damage, which is the main reason I want to sell it. I figured I'd use this opportunity to get another solara to "fix" what I dont like about the solara, yet still being able to use my parts.

Namely, I perfer charcoal interior, and I perfer the V6, the rest is gravy.

It's being sold as a semi-fixer upper. They can take care of the dent any way they want. (Touchup paint, dent repair, etc).

I would use 3M tape to put your badges back on but make sure its the thin one and not the thick one used for bodykits etc.

If your selling it privately I would say just leace it the way it is.....if your trading it in to the dealer then put the badges back on.

Privately for sure. I'm looking to get my new car privately so trade-in is out of the question.

if its some old lady buying it she will probly want the badges on, but if it were someone younger they would probly like it clean shaven. Maybe just leave em off and offer to put them back on when they buy it

Sorry to bring up an old topic, but for the guy who started this, are those the CF altezza taillights on your solara avatar that they have on ebay?

If so do you have a picture of the full back end? I want to put those on mine, but would really like to see a full shot of how they look, and hottdamn you've got them on the same color solara and all.

werd...

not having the "solara" and "toyota" emblems on there isn't going to determine whether or not the car will sell...
