Ok here's the deal i just flushed my tranny fluid yesterday, and put on an extra tranny cooler.
I read the Haynes book and they said capicaty of tranny is 5 qts, and the diff is 1.7
So i called the dealership about the diff and the tranny, and the said they were connected together, and that they mixed in.
Well my dad was to be a pain, and checked if i did the thing right, and i put in 7 qts cause of 5 for tranny and 1.7 for diff and the 0.3 for the tranny cooler.
Did i add too much??
So now today afternoon my dad drained all the fluid and then only put in 3.8 qts in.
I don't think that is enough.
How much did you guys fill up the tranny and the diff housin' wit the new tranny fluid??
I'm goin to call dealership tommorrow to see what they say.
Is too little tranny fluid bad for my tranny.
I have an auto.

from my understanding of the tranny fluid, your suppose to fill it until it overflows, that's how you know when to stop. correct me if i'm wrong but that's how i did my tranny fluid change.

3.8 sounds too low! I recall using between 5-7 qts before..
Edit: I was referring to tranny flush, what you are doing is drain and fill! WHen i did a flush, i gave the local shop 8 qts. Got back one full and one partially used. Hence my info was for Tranny Flush (where the connect the lines to their machine and use my fluid to flush it).

Yeah that's what i thought.
When my dad checked it he was like "TOO FULL!!!!"
I was like no cause of diff fluid amount and tranny amount.
I just checked the dealership they said 5 qts should do.
Thanks for the info.
I had 7 qts in there, now 3.8 or 4.8 something like that.
Will add when done it my testin' at school.
