I would probably go and fix both of them the same time. But if for some case your short on $, I'd go fix the code P0136. This is the • Heated oxygen sensor malfunction code. The engine goes into a limp mode. So, when ever you are merging into traffic, the engine seems to serge when the accelerator is floored. Which, IMO is a pain in the "R"ss. :-?

I believe the EGR P0401 might mean that your in a bi-pass mode for the meantime. The EGR is just there to suck that unburned gas back into the engine to get reburned (mainly for emissions). :P

P0136 is the bank 1 sensor 2 malfunction. It is the A/f sensor near the catalystic convertor. anyway, it could be one code triger another code. so just reset your ECU and see if they come back again.
