I think the 2002 2003 tail lights look way better than the old ones!

The engine/platform and everything is currently being shared by Camry platform (along with Sienna, Highlander)...
As per Solara SC relationship...both were delvepoped by the CA designers at the same plant....internally..(especially the wood overlays) are very similar. So in a way you could classify them as being "long lost cousins"...so hence...YEAH..they are very similar!

The SC400 is a V-8. The SC300 has a 2jzge (N/A supra engine) engine. The numbers in a lexus model tell you the engine displacemnet.
For example: SC400 = 4.0L ....... IS300 = 3.0L
Both are RWD so that means the drive train completly different, I don't know about the frame but I HIGHLY doubt it is the same as the solara. So basically other than the slight resemblence, the cars are not a like at all.

The person was wondering if the solara shared the platform with someone...that is what i was explaning above (camry, highlander, Sienna)
As far the lexi SC and solara resemblances go..THEY WERE designed by the SAME CA designer/plant....I stick with what i said earlier...they are distant cousins! (don't belive me...ask Flip!!).

Missey: I still can't see any pic's???

I found a link that says the 04 Solara is a notchback coupe, not a fastback like the Gen1. So if anyone can verify that the SC is now a notchback, then we have our question answered (with extra fact backup) :D

Yea... I'm bored when I'm at work (and bored when I get home too)

I am sorry, I had read that wrong. I thought you were saying the SC shared the camry platform. I am not doubting that they were designed at the same plant. I'd buy that just looking at them.
