Indiglo guages didnt have hole for tripmeter reset???

Postby HaliGuy69 » Mon May 30, 2005 12:58 pm

Hey i bought these guages but when i went to install them i noticed that they were missing the hole for the tripmeter reset. Has anyone else had this problem? i looked on the back of the gauges and if i were to drill a hole through the gauge it wouldnt be near the thin metal strip that runs around the back of them. Does anyone know if u can drill a hole through these or would it cause the guage not to work anymore??

You sure you got the right gauges? This is the first time Ive heard of such an issue with gauges missing a hole..Other then that you cant drill it. If you do drill it into those stripes then its a dead gauge.

i've never heard of this either but if you can provide a pic someone might be able to tell you if you got the right gauges or even point out this hole for you.

I got the guages from ProCarParts.com if i remember correctly. All I did for now was remove the trip-meter button. it just kinda looks funny without it there and it would be nice to be able to use it again.

Got mine there too, no such issue for me.
I got whiteface for me and silver face for a friend, both had the hole cutout.
