Anyone ever tried making a front lip for your solara?
When I lived in PA, a friend's friend used to work with alot of fiberglass and carbon fiber. He was an airline mechanic and carbon fiber was used for exterior hull repairs (small) I think thats what he said. Anyone, we would make stuff with for cars with this pink foam board. Then he would "vaccuum seal" it with epoxy and viola! A sturdy, incredibly strong part. Sand and paint it and it looks like a professionl piece from a mold. I dont like the trd front but I do like the sides and rear so I got to thinking, which isnt good! I want a lip that goes the entire length of the front bumper. About the size of the trd front pieces but only the whole length. Anyone ever tried this or might know the process of vaccuum sealing (I only helped with the sculpting). I might try soon if I can find some time. The board is cheap and can be found at lowes or the depot. Its easy to sand and shape and I figure you could paint some epoxy on it and it would work. If it cracks, fiberglass repair it...
