When I lived in PA, a friend's friend used to work with alot of fiberglass and carbon fiber. He was an airline mechanic and carbon fiber was used for exterior hull repairs (small) I think thats what he said. Anyone, we would make stuff with for cars with this pink foam board. Then he would "vaccuum seal" it with epoxy and viola! A sturdy, incredibly strong part. Sand and paint it and it looks like a professionl piece from a mold. I dont like the trd front but I do like the sides and rear so I got to thinking, which isnt good! I want a lip that goes the entire length of the front bumper. About the size of the trd front pieces but only the whole length. Anyone ever tried this or might know the process of vaccuum sealing (I only helped with the sculpting). I might try soon if I can find some time. The board is cheap and can be found at lowes or the depot. Its easy to sand and shape and I figure you could paint some epoxy on it and it would work. If it cracks, fiberglass repair it...

I wouldn't do it in carbon fiber....thats expensive... A few hundred dollars for a 50 foot roll if I remember correctly. Plus you gotta find a place to get it. If I try the lip and it works out I may just end up making my own kit. The sides are pretty straight foward. Its the rear that I shun becasue of the exhaust....Whatever the material, its gotta resist heat. I have some experience with fiberglass and epoxy but no experince with carbon fiber.

That was TITO's car.

He custom the front lips into one piece. I actually saw his car on the 405 2 weeks ago with some asian guy driving it. So i guess he finally sold the car.

tito didnt just do the front lips... he had the full kit custom... that one piece lip was the last stage to his modding... the skirts had small air dams near the rears... it was all made of ABS plastic...

think he put it on ebay to sell for $100, but pulled back his sale... this was all a LONG time ago lol
