Going over bumps or rigid roads in san francisco makes my solara sound like crap, however it is smooth on freeways. Whats wrong?

stay on the asphalt, the median and shoulder tend to not be very smooth

if you have a sway bar, make sure all the bushings are greased, really greased...

loose suspension and bad strut mounts sounds credible enough to believe since i been checking out forums and people been compalnign about those problems.... Does anyone know how much it cost to fix? And ius it easy to fix if one is a mechanic?
