hey guys,
well this morning as I was leaving the house for work and turned my car on, the shifter was stuck... I don't know what caused the problem because it was fine yesterday when I got home... I had to unhook the cable and change gears by pulling the gear cable... any ideas why the shifter can get stuck???

Just an idea but have you changed the tranny fluid consistantly?

i still have to change mine right now, last time i did it was like 35000 miles ago...

but the problem is the shifter... when I use the cable to shift the gears its fine... but when I push the shifter button and try to change gears through the shifter it doesn't move... the shifter is stuck... i dont know wat to do...

auto trans right?

it acts as if you are thrying to shift into drive without your foot on the brake? in other words does the button press all the way in and just the shift wont move or is the button locked also?
