Any way to get it to fit without custom piping?!? How much would custom piping cost?

.....not worth it to throw on if your just gonna use the stock piping.......gotta go with the custom piping for the muffler as the muffler will not fit since the piping is different on the i4 compared to the V6

.....I did my research on it before getting the Greddy installed and this was one question I was curious about b/c I was gonna go with the TRD muffler at first.

.....custom piping over here costs about $200, that includes the labor and install of the muffler, but that was also before the place I had it done changed management.

^^ WRONG! I've got a TRD muffler on my 4banger 5sfe! The piping matches for 4 and 6's. All the screws lined up for my 2001 and i didn't need any custom work. I had mine installed at a muffler shop (since i don't have a compressor and its against my medical requirements to do heavy labor stuff). I still have my resonator. End of the year, that muffler will be on the camry and i'm getting something else....

^^^^ well, my badd, I've only got the input of more then a handful of people on this forum from when I was asking about it and I guess there wrong also.

You have a 2001 Solara, I have a 1999.....so not everything is the same.....as to where everybody was telling me that I had to get the o2 sensor plugged up on the Greddy when I got it installed.....then the very few that have done it said that I didn't need to do it.......they were right and I'm happy I got my exhaust done.

all in all, if I'm WRONG I'm WRONG....best thing to do is to take it to the shop and get it checked out.

I have the TRD Muffler on my 2AZFE. No custom piping needed. I like it a lot. Not too loud but low and throaty.

i think hes asking if its time to go ahead and upgrade the piping while hes focusing on that specific area of the car.

he couldnt have possibly expected to get a trd muffler and it not fit factory direct.
