yep read what BradOwens linked you too.. Adding to it. Reason why ebay intake are so cheap is because they guy who made them didnt test it to a solara as he thought he had so. Then finds out its a POS [piece of Sh!t] and needs to get rid of them so sales them for cheap. Then normal solara owners would go wooow sooo cheap for claim 5 to 10 gain ill buy 3 or 4 o even 5 for myself...

then when they buy it , the guy who created it makes money because the intake pipe was never tested so he owes no money for weeks and weeks of tuning and angling for best performance.....In the end we get screw over by it..... Also notice all the solara you see on the road, and not many people are memebers of this forum. So they dont know the issues with the ebay intake...From that they buy it because its cheap and boom.. Repairs after the engine gets F up....

The guy who made the ebay intake didnt take the time and money to test it. Thats why its so cheap and doesnt fit so well into the solara. Also notice how big the pipe is. How the world are our sensor goin to pick the air flow as it goes into the pipe. Not to mention its not bend at an angle to cruve the correct air speed....

how do you like my story :bday:

yeah i should a searched but ive been super busy..i do appreciate the feedback and i excpected what i heard although i was curious as to why ebay intakes were such garbage

i had no idea air speed factored into the design and could eventually cause engine problems..why dont these guys

that said how does the weapon r stack up against the injen?

It really depends on what you wanna do. I believe getting the injen is more efficient because it works and on top of that its carb legal. If you want you can get the extension to the short ram or build your own like I did. I have the exact same model as your car JAYDEE23. Here check it out on my cardomain.

Hope this helps you out,

every forum has this problem

search for "ebay intake" and see what comes up..this post..thats about it

nothing helpful at all..i do notice the search feature on this board is a bit lacking. there is no option to search titles is there? that is the most efficient way ive found on other boards.

still cant beat solara guy though.. even for a newwwwwb like me
