This weekend i went back from OEM 15's to OEM 16'. Little did i realise that the lugs for the 16's need to be shorter for the center cap to be mounted!
I did not retain my original lugs from the time i had originally removed the 16's. Went to a few tire stores, cheapest workable lugs were $40. The cheaper ones are not for the cars. I tried a few ebay sellers, and they had no idea wtf i'm talking about, they pretty much told me the lugs work for 15's and 16's...Its not that they don't work..i can't mount the center caps if i have the longer lugs. At the junk yards i found some IS300 lugs, and those worked, but i need total of 20 lugs..Anyone here got a pair of lugs that came off their 16's they don't need em..I'll gladly take em!

let me know if these will work:
(again not just tighten, but can the center caps be mounted with this setup, in the pics they seem shorter than my lugs)

That's the new 'generic' Toyota lug... most of the 16+ rims for cars use that. Trucks use a different type.

I ask as i've seen total of three styles.
Long necked ones (which i have and worked with OEM 15's, too long for OEM 16's w/ center caps), short necked ones like the link over (have the circle thingie on top) and the direct scew type ones (look like the picture on top minus the circle thingie).

jeff, i agree i see more of the 'ebay' lugs on IS300 and new toyota, but i'm confused by your stateement. Will they work on my OEM 16's or do i need to buy the screw type thingie only (w/o the circle top)??

THe ES ones are the short ones w/ attached washer (as pictured)

Dealer cost is about $3 each... so ya... you're getting a deal.
