Is that the car paint underneath the "solara"? A friend and I are working on a Benz G500 style illuminated door sills for my Gen 2 but I have no idea where I would place the neons...

Would it be easier to light it with EM tape than with neon? Assuming, of course, the sills would be Lucite.

Lucite would scratch like a mofo. They'd look nice if you didn't use them, but otherwise no way. I must admit the thought of etching the text and illuminating it from the side is tempting. Hmm....
