JoeB wrote:Congrats Josh! Those are some awesome numbers! Remember when I said 6 was as high as I would go, I also said I think 6psi is right on the edge of disaster. I think 6 is ok carefully tuned and monitored, and not beaten on too badly. I am more and more convinced that if you want any guarantees, there is a reason TRD sold the kit with ONLY 4psi. I would still be a little nervouse with 6psi but looking for problems if I went to 7psi. -JoeB

I tend to baby the car a lot and I usually don't push it hard until there are those rare occasions where someone wants a piece or if I'm at the track, which I don't go there often to race, just watch.

Definitely pm me if you head over this way, I've only seen one TRD solara around (a red one, like joe's but without the black) and I haven't been able to catch him and talk to him.

GREAT numbers ... Very impressive. I would like to give it a try also. I have pretty much the same mods. I would be very happy with those numbers!

Well done.

heheheh...I think I've pushed it as far as it will go without any major engine work, which I want to avoid. 8)

You have headers or you don't think they'd help? You only need 16 more hp. Also, if the water/meth injection system that Greg's working on produces the 7% hp/tq increase (as claimed), then there's an easy 20hp right there. :)

dyno

Postby trd4life » Thu Jul 07, 2005 7:39 pm

those numbers seem high IMO, if your running the stock y pipe there is no way you can make that much power, with a high flow y pipe it would be possible. Good numbers either way!

IHsakuragi:
It was on a dyno jet...

OKANG:
Yes, I would like headers and should've had them by now, however, that's another story...

Haven't raced anyone yet since doing the dyno, just trying to let the car adjust first...but I can't wait until an opportunity arises. :D
