In spite of all the BS going on, I'll still share what I have with those who wish to have it.

I have determined with the help of Toyota partner that the RR Engine mount for the manual transmission is different from the Automatics.

The part number is 12380-220 and is usable on the 7/96 - 7/01 Camry and on the 6/98 - 7/02 Solara.

The price from Bill G is $85.55. If one of you selects to buy the mount as I did and ship it to Mike in AUS, you will get your mount returned with new bushings free of charge. This applies only to the first person who does it.

I've got the auto tranny folks covered.

Good luck and let me know if I can be of any help.

Despite what toyota is telling you, there both the same. JoeB has the Energy Suspension rear mount in his car, one of the prototypes that they made from EricSol's manual solara.

Is that like both the dogbones were the same? The large ends are 55mm and 65mm sounds the same to me. Go for it.

all i am saying is that Joeb ordered a manual rear engine mount for his car and it fits perfect, i think that proves there the same.

If that's true can we get this going? We need JoeB's input. I'll see if I can cross reference part numbers and PM JoeB. If I can help let me know.

I PM'd JoeB but it's early so no response. I just did a part lookup on ALLDATA and the part numbers are different.

Auto Trans 123710A202
Manual Trans 1237162050

The ALLDATA part numbers also jibe with the differences seen in the dogbone etc. Let me know if anyone needs part numbers for the mounts or if there are different part numbers. I can look it up.

anyone have an update on this? I'm going to see if I can get a chance this weekend to get a comparison picture of the two axles.. cause I have an auto right side axle in my garage, as well as the manual right side axle on my car... anyone have any thoughts?

Guys, Toyota and its engineers are not stupid. Ask youself why would they give the parts different numbers if not necessary. I've had a close up look at Rizal's dogbone when I was at Arrieta MotorSports a while back.

The length of the DB was the same but the large rod end has a 10mm difference. Do you know why that is? I do and it's straight from the engineers mouth. Now if in fact the RR engine mount for the manual tranny is two way interchangable with the auto tranny car, there is a difference in the design and the answer is really simple if you think about it because the same rules applied.

Buy what you want and do what you like. As always I'm just trying to help.

They are supposed to be the Toyota part numbers for the rear motor mounts.

It may not be necessary. Joe said the mount fit. I am trying to clarify if it's just the pressed in urethane portion. That would explain a lot of the confusion such as differing part numbers. I'll let you know when I know unless someone finds out for sure first.

Okay, Joe got back to me. Phyically the mounts are different and that explains the different Toyota part numbers. The actual urethane portion that gets pressed in is the same and works well on both the auto and manual tranmission Solara's as far as Energy Suspension's product is concerned. So, that should mean that Greg's hard work will probably pay off for all interested because us 5spd guys should be able to use the mount too. My only concern is the amount of dampening of the mount and if it really makes a difference between the two tranny types. I doubt it but we may want to ask. Now about getting it in red......
