Aluminum Radiators

Pardon me if this is a stupid question but since there a dearth of mods for the Solaras, what hop-ups would require the add'l cooling provided by these fans?

Wouldn't be easier (and cheaper) to have the ability to manually switch the fans on and off?

This isn't meant as a challenge to anyone but is rather something I'm genuinely curious about.

the 1mz actually runs relatively cool. with the performance potential that most people are looking at (not over 300whp) the factory unit does the job.

people looking to run big numbers may want the added protection though

We have puller fans.
I think we have 14" or 16" fans; no sure which size it is.
But if you look at your fans they are on the back side of the radiator; which menas a puller fan.
Pusher would be in front of the radiator.

gotcha. . . thanks bro

UPDATE!!

Postby Paladin06Greg » Sat Jul 16, 2005 7:02 am

Update on Radiator. OEM installed core thickness 5/8" single row. Koyo is 1" think single row. If interested I have found an Aluminum radiator, 1 1/4 thick, 2 rows direct fit upgrade for the V6 Gen 1 Solara. PM me for details.

Now we're talking additional cooling.

Are you crazy???
Mine runs so damn hot after a normal drive.
It feels like the heat from my friends' MR2 turbo.
Feels like an oven when i open the hood.

Yeah now Koyo to list for us.
