A/C question

A/C question

Postby Solara916 » Thu Jul 14, 2005 5:24 pm

I'm not sure if this is normal or not, but sometimes when I turn on my A/C, I hear a brief, high pitch squeek (can't think of a better word). It happens sporadically but with the intense heat that we've been having here in Sac, I know I'm going to be using my A/C a lot for the next few months, and I'd like to prevent anything bad from happening.

Does anyone else experience the same thing when turning on the a/c?

Thank's in advance for any feedback.

If you have alot of miles, get the AC system recharged and make sure they oil it well. Could also be that or a bad tensioner.. I have spare pumps and parts for gen 1 solaras. So if ya need parts leme know could prolly help ya out at a cheap price. The parts are not new, they are off wrecked solara's, camry's and avalon's (since they share some parts with us anyway).
