Air in Brakes issue

Air in Brakes issue

Postby Midias » Sun Jul 24, 2005 12:35 pm

OK not to long ago I went to replace my rear calipers should have been easy but the store gave me the wrong part and then I had to wait 4 days this is after I removed the old ones to get the core charge taken care of. Now I got the new ones on but I cannot get them to bleed. I have used a hand vacume extensively but all i get is air and a small amount of fluid. BTW when the car was sitting it lost most of it's fluid.. Any ideas guys.

I know how to bleed brakes I have done it before. This time the pedal is not building pressure.
when I crack the bolt nothing happens. I have used a hand pump but it sucks mostly air and a very small amount of fluid.
