New radiator

New radiator

Postby Astro » Sun Jul 31, 2005 7:25 pm

I installed my new radiator today, thanks to Greg :D As you can tell, the new one is actually twice as thick. I guess it's better for running your A/C during the summer heat. I wish we could get a 4 row...I also got to install my TRD thermostat :P , I noticed my water temp dropped a little lower than normal.

You can also call these guys, they've got the same radiator.

Got it.

I got about a 15 to 20 degree drop (180 down to 160) in temp while traveling on the interstate at a steady state of 80 MPH.

Not enough to justify the cost. Its intended for Forced Induction cars to keep the temps down

Yeah the radiator is awesome. . . I got mind installed for a couple weeks now. . . I noticed the car doesn't lag as much during those hot days. . . I'm really happy. . . I just need to get the TRD Thermostat and Upgrade Fans to blow all the hot air out of engine bay

Yeah, the TRD thermostat is definately needed. I got mine here at TRDsales.com. The price with shipping was $89.71.
I was thinking of doing the fans, but I haven't yet. I don't plan on buying anything untill I recieve my injectors and get the S-AFC II installed and dynoed.
