Red/Orange is for longevity and starting. These batteries are built for when battery is almost going to be fully charged all the time, and the only discharge is really when you start it. They are built to be almost topped out all the time, and to provide more power when "cold" (not turned on) and during the first few seconds after a car starts up.
Yellow and most blue is for deep cycle. They are for when you will put a load on the battery regularly (subs or other things that suck up energy in bursts that may go above and beyond what your alternator can provide you). They are NOT built for longevity or starting, but rather to be able to provide power quickly when needed, and refilled. Youll notice that the warrantee on the Yellow and Blue top is only 2 years, compared with the 6 years on the red. Also the Yellow top provides LESS power during the first few seconds after a car starts than a traditional battery due to its deep cycle design. If you dont have subs or anything else that will regularly put a heavy load on the battery, id recommend the red top to the yellow top, it should last alot longer and be more reliable in starting the engine. Even if you are using a sub, if your lights dont dim with a bass hit (maybe up to around 400w), then the red will do fine for you, since that means the alternator is still be able to handle it.
BTW blue has a 3 year warrantee.
