I have a 2000 Solara with 48,000 miles on it and it's in excellent shape. Been well taken care of. Problem is on the way to work today, I noticed the tach wasn't working. Any ideas? thanks.

Pull the cover off the cluster. Ensure that the plugs in the back are tight on there. Check for loose wires around. If not you may need to replace that part on the cluster. You can get one from a camry if you want because they are the same.

Thanks Nutty101-I pulled the cluster out and it started working again. Must have been a bad connection like you suggested.
