Sorry, I can't help ya on the rear speakers. BTW, you might have better luck posting this in the audio/video/navigation section.

I'd get rid of the stock JBL amp if I was you. The amp has a few fuses in the fuse panel so best to get rid of the whole thing. That's what I did. The amp is next to your ECU. It has 2 plugs too.

the back seats are a biotch. i replaced mine with infinity kappas and you have to unscrew like a lot of things and take off a lot of things just to get to a very small area. suggestion go to crutchfield.com and search for instalation instructions i think it's on there that's where i got my information if you can't find it tell me.

Just found these in the Tutorials section. Amazing what you can find while searching.
DIY Bypass the stock amp:

I'm pretty sure there was one on replacing the rear speakers, couldn't find it. To replace the rear speakers you have to first remove the rear lower side panels, then the upper side panels, then the upper tray holding the speaker covers, and you're there! Trust me it sounds easier than it is. Expect to spend about 2+ hours doing this your first time.

I posted that link in my reply two days ago, lol. It's a good one though. Another thing to consider is leaving the rear speakers alone. Your soundstage should be in front of you, which is why a lot of SQ competitors don't run rear mid-range speakers at all. I say invest that money into the front components and forget about it.

If you're keeping the JBL speakers keep the amp... if you're replacing the speakers bypass the amp. I kept my speakers and amp on my alpine, sounds great not handling any bass with a couple of woofers to do that job ;).
