They are claiming "All headlights" but not all headlights are made from the same material. Some are plexi, some are lexan, some are "other". I use Mothers California Gold Plastic Polish on my headlights and they freakin' glow (my car is gen 1.5). If your lights are really scratched up you can sand them with 2400, 3600, 6000, 8000 and 12000-grit papers, and then polish if off with jewlers rouge (sounds nuts I know, sand to remove scratches, but it is what the pros do). Here is a link to just such a repair on a corvette convertible plastic rear window: http://www.diytv.com/diy/ab_windows/art ... 76,00.html

Hope that helps.

Headlight cleaner

Postby JMSinMaryland » Fri Aug 26, 2005 4:16 am

Would this work on yellowed headlights? My mother in law has a 1995 Avalon, one headlight was replaced maybe 2 years back but the other was is original and YELLOW. So yellow that in fact it affects the lighting from the Silverstars. Jon.
