Question guys. I am having a hell of a time keeping the brake dust off the new chrome wheels and saw these. Any experience with using these brake dust shields?

Or are they just a bit too tacky looking for the chrome wheels and drilled rotors? Does the brake pad dust slow down after the break-in period? I have Axxis Ceramics on the Brembo cross drilled rotors and they are creating quite a mess on the chrome wheels. Any help is greatly appreciated. :)

IMO....why cover up the X-drilled rotors??...but as for the brake dust.....I'm not really sure, could be just the material that makes up your pads. Some pads may dust more than others. Thats' just my 2 cents. :T

Ceramics shouldnt dust. Maybe you have a ceramic/organic/metallic blend.

This is a little off topic but arent the factory pads ceramic? I have no brake dust problems.

But my opinion on the covers from jcwhitney. Dont do it. It will look like crap. and show off those drilled rotors. It looks better that way. Id say just get new pads if you have too or just clean the wheels everynight. I wouldnt take long if you did it every night

covers

Yeah, I didn't plan on putting on the covers, just wanted some feedback on them. I have been cleaning those wheels every day and damn they look good, so i will probably keep doing that. Could it be my rotors creating some dust or maybe something else? I never had this problem before, but I didn't have nice shiny wheels before either. Thanks for the feedback.

I have those same pads on the front of mine with drilled rotors. They dust like hell. They have an organic component, which is where all the black dust comes from. It sucks hard. I'm thinking of replacing them even though I only put 1,000 miles on them so far. I just don't know what would be better...
