I wish the dogbone applied to the 5-speed manual because I would have gotten it. I guess I will go for the URD lightweight underdrive pulley next.

Ian...Glenn does have bushings for the 5 spd. I told him I had a 5 spd and he changed the order for me. It should be here today.

Lack of support for the Solara is always a problem. People never have the money etc.

I tried ordering these and they were out of stock and now it's my understanding that the only way I can do this is if I buy 45 bushings and sell the other 44?

Also it got me to wondering. Is it good to have our engine mounted so stiffly and not have any give to the transmission? Would that make our trannies fall out sooner or no?

that was a rumor about buying all 45... you can still get it for regular price.. the stiffer the mounts the less engine movement which makes it so less power is robbed... The tranny will never "fall out" because of a mount failure.. it would make noises... The best way to upgrade mounts is all at once.. they should all be about the same strength

but this isn't going to ruin mounts.. as my tutorial showed.. my dogbone bushings were already torn to pieces and ruined from regular wear.. and this was the bigger mount that is usually for the auto that I am running w\ a 5 speed... the stock mounts are weak

I'm just saying it seems liek upgrading all this to make the mounts more stiff doesn't seem liek it would be good for the transmission. I dunno, I gues sI'm just thinking oddly, in either case I'm rethnking just getting the dogbone and I may end up saving for all of them, I'm not quite sure at the moment.
