Exhaust idea that I LOVE!

Basically that is a Flowmaster muffler with a rolled tip on it. You can see where the exhaust mounts to the pipe just like a stock exhaust pipe would, or even a TRD muffler and pipe combo.

I want to do this set up for my Auto V6 but not use this big 2-chamber Flowmaster go with a 60 Series Delta Flow - Single Out. They have a stagger in/out or a straight through. The in/out would be a 2.25 inch model.

The 60 Series Performance muffler is designed specifically to bring Flowmaster performance to smaller cars and trucks with small displacement 4 and 6 cylinder engines. All 60 Series mufflers feature Delta Flow technology for increased torque, horsepower and reduced interior resonance.

I really love the tip that is on that picture. But I would have to go through the rack @ the custom shop. I have a local exhaust shop that specializes in this stuff. They did my previous cars. This pictures I stumbled upon from the archives of Solaraguy really got my mind going.

looks cool. . . while you're doing that mind as well do the rest of the piping so you're not spending money for no gains

I was thinking the same. I want to see what the underside of the car looks like once up on the lift. If it could be easily done then I am all for it.

My current muffler and tip is stock and looks like hell. So I just want to really clean the ass end up some what.

i dont really like that look.
i prefer a smooth pipe rather than bulky/boxy muffler with a big wang hanging off of it

I like it, very simalar to what I did for my friends teg but he used a dynomax muffler. We are all great haters of the fart can besides we are not driving civics.

^ now on tegs i do like the thermal r&d look. it is a mix between large diameter tip and oval cannister.

That's funny

I was thinking the same, except I need 2 mufflers. But, I still like the dual tips (because it fits perfectly in the cut outs on the b/w bumper). I wonder if I can run 3" piping after the JP y-pipe now w/o affecting performance to much. Because I'm very interested in getting the 3" headers from Megan later (if they ever come out...).

It's all about tone, not looks. Tips can be changed with a few tack welds or a screw tightened.

I have yet to hear one of those big canisters that sounded clean to me. They all have to pick up a buzz @ somepoint. I have held them and looked @ them. They are cheapy and tingy to me. Where as this flowmaster is soild metal.

To each his own. I like the looks of those silver ones, but not on a Solara.

Not that it matters but is that on a solara or a camry? And what engine do they have? I love to hear how it sounds.

It was on a Solara. The person said it was much to loud. But that looks like a low series muffler from Flowmaster, there for it only has a few baffles and lets alot of noise through. Im sure it sounded pretty mean.

Thats cool, I like it but its kindof wierd. I would have never of thought to put flowmasters on a solara. I always think of flowmaster for muscle cars and trucks.

Agreed. Flowmaster came out with a line of Import/Small Domestic mufflers and parts for smaller engines. So I think it would sound great.

Man, I was going to go with the Flowmaster, but I went with the Magnaflow, 2 of them. It'll sound better than the no name Japanese brand I've got now. Whenever the headers come out and I'm not satified with these, I'll probably get the Flowmaster 60 series delta flow. Going for install tomorrow.

To aggressive for me. Post some pictures though. Just the tips in a photo is hard to imagine on a car.
