Hey guys i was just wondering if the solara has a ecu that learns your driving. Some cars you can reset them and you will feel a difference. Let me know.

From what I have heard- yes. Take the neg battery cable off for about 20mins (all night if you can) The longer the better. Most of the learning is transmission related. Check with a service writer at a dealer. It could very well vary depending on the year fo the car.

No code... We dont play them on solaras (Gen 1 & 1.5 at least).. Reseting your batteries dont really do too much.. Just clears up anything it has saved in its setting like CELs and tuning settings it cali to.. You wont feel much of any difference but its good to reset the batteries every now and then.. Other then that our cars are programed to find changes in driving and adapt to it.. Good luck

I've disconnected it soooo many times. You shouldn't have any problems. For the radio, you'll just lose your preset stations.

Yeah. I know that for Gen 1, at least the 99 I'v eonly disconnected my battery one to disable my DRL's (was making sure I didn't corss anythign and short anything out, it's always a good ideA) and everythign was fine but my presets and clock.

I need to do it again to see if my CEL goes away. I thnk it may have had somehting to do with my oil actually and I think ti's just stuck on now, but I'm goign to get acode pulled first so just incase it doesn't come back and I DO have a problem I can fix it, been meaning to do that a while now.
