Won't 18" be too big for a TEIN and TOKICO drop????
Why not paint the spoke white.
It would be like the 300ZX from Sport Compact Car.

I've got 19x8.5 and JIC coilovers. I just had to roll the rear fenders, which I did myself -it was sooo easy. :D

Really????
That seems too wide for a Solara a 235 tires.
Well then, can you go ove railroad tracks easily at any speed; like 40mph??
Or do you have to slow down and go over then slowly.

Dude you are worrying way too much. I've got 18x7.5's with 225 tires on Tein/Tokico, no TRD kit. Perfect setup IMO. There is no rubbing what so ever. Backspace on my wheels is +42.

+35 offset, but you can do +38 also

With the coilovers, my 235's are literally mm away from the springs. :o But, I've never had any rubbing issues. You shouldn't have any problems with spring/strut setup. The guy I got the coilovers from (don't want to mention his name) had the same setup with the coilovers and change out to my Eibach/KYB setup and had more gap from the springs.
