I have a 99 SLE and I disconnect my battery every time I work on the car which is often  . No codes to worry about. -JoeB

Doing this is not going to change or help anything. You will feel the car maybe drive different for about 5-20 minutes and then it will go back to driving exactly like it did before you pulled the battery. If anything your car drives without using stored values in closed loop mode for the first 5-20 minutes after you start up the car on a cold engine. Until the engine gets up to operating temperature and then it will go into run mode using values stored in continuous memory.
