Euro clear corners don't exist anymore???

OK so I originally had the normal clear corners on my car but they didn't fit well and leaked so I decided to order the euro clear corners as I have heard they are supposed to be better quality and the look better too. So I bought some on Ebay, and what do I receive? The normal ones! :x So I sent a pic of them to the vendor, F1sports, along with the pic they had in the auction. They emailed me back and said they checked with their vendor and the vendor says this is the "new" version of the euro corner but it's really just a normal clear corner. Anybody know if they discontinued the euro one or if these guys are lying to me? They want me to send it back to them for a refund but I'll be damned if I am paying to ship them!! :agrue:

I got mine from procarparts via ebay. Those are the euro type.

THey arent any better though as far as leaking. Either way, you need to seal them with silicone sealant to stop them from leaking.

Yea I know there are lots of places that supposedly are selling the "euro" corners, but are they really the Euro ones or will I just get normal ones again? F1sports auction was for euro ones too but they tell me the new euro ones are just normal clears, so I wonder if the other vendors are too. This sucks.

I'm sry to hear about your bad experience with this... I would go find the person and shoot him & his so called euro's! j/k but anyways If it says euro "clear" than its a good bet that they are the clear ones. I wouldn't buy anything without a picture! I would also email the seller and confirm if they are clear or not...

You know, how hard would it be to contact a real European Toyota dealer online and ask them to order the OEM critters? Granted ordering Toyota parts and using dollars to pay for something in euros isn't for the faint of heart (or wallet). Beats having leaking taillights, IMHO.

Hard to order OEM 'European' Solara parts when it only exists in North America. Jon.

Hmm. I guess that would make things markedly more difficult.

Not European Solara corner lights, but rather European 'style' Solara corner lights.

^^ LOL, dude us solara gen1 guys have 2 options for clear corners.
1. clear corners with horizontal lines
2. clear corners w/o those lines (what we all call euro corners cus procarparts called them such).
I'm glad i've got the latter!

Hmm I thought it was the other way...Horizontal lines are the euros and the ones without it was clear.

procarparts has the ones with the lines. Just about everyone else has the clears. The ones with the lines typically come with the bulbs as well. I see one on ebay right now that is probably the one with the lines(Makoto?) but I cant be sure.

EDIT - Just took a look at Procarparts - they do list the euro as the one without the lines, but im pretty sure the common reference is the other way. Maybe I'm wrong, in any case, ive had both and I like it without the lines. They all leak and need to be resealed.
