Aftermarket Wheel Question???

Aftermarket Wheel Question???

Postby M_ABILLONES » Tue Sep 20, 2005 12:06 pm

Sup guys...new here in this forum...my first question pertains to the bolt pattern of the 1998-01 solara, is it a 5x100 or 5x114? Second, anyone here ever try to cram a 19x8.5 wheel on their Solara? Can it be done without any modification to the fenders? Third, where can I get the 7 pc trd body kit?

1.The bolt pattern to the Solara is 5x114.3 (5x4.5)

2.Yes you can cram 19x8.5 into the wheel well. I have 19x8.5 wheels. You just need to find the right offset. The ideal offset to run that size is 38 to 35 offset. I have 37offset for my wheels and i dont have any problems. However you will need to roll/cut the rear inner fenders. Its nothing hard to do. A local shop did it for me and cost me $30 bucks each side. I had them cut then they use a sealer to cover up the cut end so it prevents it from rusting.

3.The 7 piece TRD Kit is discontinued however some members may have some on sale used and New. I believe you can contact Mark aka Krazyazn as he might have some new kits in stock.

I think your the first person on this site that has 18's and had to roll the fenders. How come you had to do that with that tire size?

I've got the 19x8.5 with +35 offset, I guess it would depend on tire size. I rolled my fenders at home. That's a great deal, but what's the condition of these rims?

i got the rims. they are 19x8.5 and have 245 35 zr 19 on them. the tires are almost brand new toyo proxes fz4s. it seems like i will need to roll the fenders. i might resell the wheels and just get 18s to save some hussle. it seems way too wide. thanks for the replies

the rims were actually in fair conditioned. the face has been powder coated and it has a polished lip look. there are scuffs on the back on the wheels but the lips looks in great condition. i'm assuming is a generic brand, 5 split spoke, can't find any label on it. i think i will be able to resell them locally easily. thanks again.
