Has anyone made a mod to the fog lights to turn them into high-speed driving lights?

He means being able to use the Fog driving light with the high beam since when you go from low beam to high beam the fog lights are automaticly shut off...

No. Some cars have lights where the fog lights go, but instead of lighting the area directly in front of the car, they are designed to project much MUCH further out.

I'm taking it by all your responses: No, no-one has ever tried this.

not quite

Postby Sentinel » Tue Sep 27, 2005 8:44 am

I am actually more interested in changing the focal length of the bulb assy. so that instead of lighting up 5 feet in front of the car, they give light at a farther distance. But thanks for the info on the independence mod.

Go under the car and remove the splash guard and peep you head behind the bumper and you will see the fog light and the left or right of where the bulb is there is a silver plastic 8mm nut. . . you can alignment your foglights there

My tutorial is quite explanatory. You just expose some wire, twist them up, and tape it up, and you're done. If you think you can do that, you can do this. Or you can hit me up on YIM, AIM, or Google Talk and i can walk you thru it, as long as you have the tools.

Those are referred to as just "driving lights" not high speed. PIAA's website explains the difference between them and fogs

Aka, headlights  and headlights are def not the same as foglights, just wanted to point out some common sense.
