Door hinge clicking and dome light delay problems

Postby Kermy » Tue Sep 20, 2005 5:01 pm

Is anyone else's door suffering from a "clicking" noise when opening or closing the door? I'm talking about the door stop strut (the black one). I can see it jump a little whenever it clicks.

Also, when I open my door, the "door open" warning light and the dome light doesn't come on automatically at that instant. There's like a 2-3 second delay or sometimes even 4-5 second delay before the car registers that the door is opened.

Thanks

the door moulding always catches on our car's frameless window. as for the dome light problem, something may be wrong with your driver's side pinswitch. does it happen if you open the passenger side, too?

Looks like it's just the driver's side door that has the issue with the delayed dome light/door open problem. Anyway I can fix it myself?
