S-AFC - OBD II Tuning

Postby Paladin06Greg » Wed Sep 21, 2005 4:19 am

JoeB as always that was very helpful. I worked on my tuning for 6 to 8 hours the past couple of day and man it's getting very nice. The short terms are 0.00 of course but more improtantly the long terms are between 0.00 and 5.78 from 3000 to 5800 RPM. Man does she feel strong. I'm going to do a couple of adjustments tonight but she goes on the truck tomorrow afternoon.

The EASE tool is GREAT once you understand it and a BIG thanks out to JoeB for his patience and support!

Greg, I'm really glad it worked out for you and you're very welcome. I'm always glad to help. Now you can have fun driving it instead of working on it. I wish you a safe trip to AZ and best wishes for the new home and job. -JoeB

Great news, Greg. I should be getting my OBDII scanner today, so I'll start my tuning. Everything sounds pretty straightforward, so I'm going to give it a try. I just wish I had my clutch already...

BTW, have a safe trip and good luck in AZ :D

I got the scanner from URD but, I'm having trouble. The computer is detecting the interface, but it's not able detect anything from the car. I tried using the serial port and the USB to serial converter from the URD site. Aren't we using ISO 9141? This is getting frustrating, that it would detect the interface and not detect anything from my car...Any suggestions???

I'm sorry I'm not familiar with that tool. I'm sure Gabe can help you out. I have the EASE tool and I love it.
