You can run it on regular 87 octane no problem, but in my experiences I get way more lag and less all around performance on 87 as compared to 93. It's noticable enough to the fact that my sister used my car and put in a half tank of regular and I got back in my car without knowing she'd put in any gas and knew somehting was wrong right away. I put 2 and 2 together and called her to see if anything funny happened and I was right. So for best performance go with premium 93 octane (or in cali 91).
Midgrade also works rather well, it's hard to tell a difference for me being N/A between mid and premium, but I always run ammoco ultimate anyhow.
