Yeah, so true. Have you seen Paladin06's true dual setup? The piping is sooo small.

Didn't know he actually went for true dual. I'll have to hunt down what that looks like.

wonder what kinds of gains he had after that? And I don't think it's that necessary if you just use a big 3" pipe. But very creative, props for creativity and uniqueness.

The horsepower gains from his true dual system won't be that much more than the horsepower gains from a single out with the same piping size and design. Basically, he's got the two cat's which are taking 50% of the exhaust each, a certain amount of that exhaust is still being blocked by those cats. Now if he had replaced both cat's with straight piping, he'd of been rocking worlds. Unfortunately, he's probably from a state that doesn't allow this =/.

However, based on the size of the piping post cat's, he's definately gained some torque and power :D. Anyone have dyno charts?

Will your dual 3" make more power than the single 3"? Or is it more for style.

Power wise, I would think the dual would put out more. But as far as style, duals always look better than a single exhaust. Not everybody is into the available Solara body kits, but for those who are (like me), all the rear bumpers are made for dual exhausts. It would look like rice to have a dual exhaust bumper with a single exhaust. And either the single or dual exhaust would be producing more HP than the stock exuast system, which would make a worth while upgrade seeing as there's not many options.

Im interested. Im 2azfe I4, everybody says that the catback will fit both V6, I4.. Any way I could get the system minus the hole for the sensor after the cat? Single 3" I think? Tip??? If it looks like your gonna do this then Ill ask around and get the specifics locked down.

With the catalytic convertor in place, it is hard to create a truly free flowing exhaust system. The Y bend in the dual system will allow for equal travel of exhaust through both pipes. This should allow for slightly smoother flow of exhaust rather then the single pipe system however, there is no guarantee that it will amount to any difference.

The reason is I don't have the numbers as to exhaust flow from the stock system after the cat. There may not be much restriction beyond that point and may flow fairly smoothly already. With a replacement for headers and the cat, a dual system will almost definately allow for smoother flow of exhaust and larger increases over the single system. Again, when the product is complete there will be dyno tests with both on and off setup.
