K&N Air Filter, Recommend it?

K&N Air Filter, Recommend it?

Postby vairdasol » Sun Oct 02, 2005 11:26 pm

I searched and could not find anything about this. I am kinda new to the Mod world. I was wondering...Is getting a K&N filter worth it? What advantages does it have over a regular air filter? Any HP gains?

If ya think I should buy it..where is the cheapest place for it?

They are good filters and better than stock paper ones. HP gains are negligible, don't expect to feel a difference.

A K&N Air filter will probably give you like 2 hp. . . You can get a K&N Air filter for a good price at here: http://www.ajusa.com/cgi-bin/knfilters/ ... ffd669d92a . . .It does flow a lot better than stock. . . Some people notice a throatier sound when acclerating. . . If you want a deep sound when pushing it you should do this: http://www.solaraguy.org/viewtopic.php? ... +resonator This is for modifying on a budget. . . If you want better gains. . . Go get a Injen Short Ram Intake from http://morepowerracing.com/product.asp? ... re+Details *that is the cheapest place for an Injen Intake* and than PM RJ@UPFD or go to www.upfd.com for the Cold Air Extension. . . This mod will give you the best benefit on sucking in the most cold air possible in order to gain horsepower. . . Hope this helps you out on deciding what you want to do
