Carbon Fiber Vinyl Sheets?

Postby LatinDragonXJC » Mon Oct 03, 2005 10:59 pm

Im thinking of going with a carbon fiber theme in my 'lara, and have been looking at using CF Vinyl sheets to wrap certain parts. Has anyone used this stuff or any type of vinyl sheet in their rides? My brother warned me that it bubbles and doesnt last long......Opinions? Thanks in Advance.

some members have done it before, i'd do a search to pull up the old threads..ebay is a common source for these but i'd prefer not to stick things on my car. i know someone did the woodtrim around the doorpanels in CF...look it up

I've done the search, for a few hours trying to see if someone has talked about it (SG search is not the most efficient). But I keep getting the same results about carbon fiber parts not anyone talking about their experience. I already know about the ebay, thats where im thinking about buying it. I just want to know if it's worth it, members experiences with the material, and how it looks....

i used it on my interior, check out the pictures section, i just made a post. Its vinyl so if applyed properly it will not buble, you need to stick it and heat it with a hair dryer and cut it carfully with a razor blade, its not easy but the results are very nice. Spending $35 on vinyl that looks the same as the $140 dash kit sounds alright for a poor college student like myself. PM me if you want more info.
