ok well i started doing it....and everything seemed fine but your last step the one where you ground a red wire with a blue strip...i did that and the car refused to start i put another butt connecter to restablish the regular connection so...what now....the fogs still dont work i did it the same way as you by going to the cig lighter

i did this like two weeks ago so im still fresh on it........

Under the steering wheel column, make sure you tapped into the correct 18g red w/blue stripe.... cuz theres two red w/ blue stripe... the other one is the 16g (bigger)- DO NOT TOUCH THIS ONE

my 2000 didnt even need that extra ground... what year is your solara?

and also be sure if youre using wire crimpers, that it crimps all the way thru... mine didnt crimp all the way thru on first try, but all is well for me now :D

According to this picture:
Image

Doesnt seem like you spliced into the correct red and blue wire.
With the correct wire, you wouldnt be able to see where its connected to.....

The 18g Red wire with stripe that I spliced into was "directly" under the steering wheel and was bunched up with many other wires... I'll use Josh's pic as a good example... if you look at the top of the pic, you'll see the big bunch Im talking about and you have to search through there for the 18g
