Scoping interest for a dual exhaust kit for gen1-1.5

Can you guys make a 2.5 inch mid pipe for the stock exhaust? So it can be bolted up to the TRD Muffler, you know what I mean?

I know what you mean, but we were likely going to use welds instead of flanges at that point. We're not pipe makers after all :D. I'd have to use a replica of the TRD exhaust and see exactly where/how it bolts up where the flange fits, etc. Nothing is impossible but don't count on it for now.

I know your still in the preliminary stages of all this and I dont mean to push. Do you have any kind of idea on time line for this project? Or at leat the next step, when do you think you will know if you are going to do this at all? Dont mean to rush, just looking for some kind ballpark idea.

Thanks

Well, they are valid questions after all. All have valid answers too :D.

#1, will the project be completed? There will definately be a finished product on Josh's car, the interest after the product is completed will determine on whether we will be taking out of pocket to make them or if we can at least break even. If we can at least break even, we'll produce it.

#2 Timeline is unknown, our goal is to make a real and valid exhaust for the Solara at a decent price. Something that you can feel confident installing and know that it will add horsepower. I can't say how long that will take.

#3 Next step is simple. We're in the process of setting up mandrel bends and are measuring the current system. We're going to start with pre-bent piping, sawing, and welding. This will allow us to create the design while still finishing an actual product for an example.

Don't worry about rushing us, I understand everyone wants their products and fast. I'll do whatever I can to get this to you in a hurry. However, scheduling welding, cutting, bending and creation time between work and the army reserve gets a little busy sometimes. Don't worry though! If things work out on this one, we can mass produce the first batch of orders with enough backup where no one will have to wait for awhile.

We are only scoping for interest at the moment. If there is enough ppl interested, we will make 1 unit to custom fab onto my car, dyno my car before and after installation, then make a number of units to sell to you guys along with the before and after dyno results. We're waiting for Jeffrey to get back from work next month then it's all gonna be put on paper.

I'm just hoping there's enough interest. Hopefully you can get the headers too, then that TwinTurbo you were talking about earlier. I'd looooove to make this a turbo'd car. :D

The twin turbo setup would have to be sold with some pistons for lower compression to make your cars suitable for a F/I turbo setup. That's far off in the future though. Regardless. The reason we can't post pictures right now is I was called on a quick temporary duty tour of a month for my reserve unit in the middle east, when I get back you'll get pictures of our progress. Keep the interest coming though so I'll have an idea of how many to produce.

Here are the guesstimates.

Single tip 2.5" piping - $400.
Single tip 3" piping - $500
Dual tip 2.5" piping - $650
Dual tip 3" piping - $800
These prices are not verified yet, just our guesses.
