My Solara has the tan interior....and my floor mats are always gett'n unreal dirty. NEwayz...since I recently got the red and black wet okoles I was thinking about getting different floor mats cause the tan ones are way too high maintenance. So I was wondering if anyone knows of any aftermarket mats I could get that would look good, I guess I can probably get black since my seat covers are black right? Hmmm...or maybe I can just get the stock black ones...are they expensive? Newayz...lemme know what you guys think!! Thanks :D

Partznet.com has the OEM charcoal ones about 20 bucks cheaper than the ivory mats. Another good brand is WeatherTech. www.mats.com

If you want aftermarket all weather mats I've got those NEW! (would part those out for $10+shipping, they are clear). However, since your willing to get rid of your mats....Can i suggest fabric paint! (yeah)....

Basically, go to your autoparts store..and buy fabric paint...(i did that like 2 years ago to darken my celica mats to match my carpet, and it worked nicely). I know i just used the colored DARK grey for my light grey mats, but no harm trying black on your tan ones! A few people on www.vvti.net painted their roof carpet to match the rest of their car, and it matched well...A lot of people don't have patience and hence their outcome is discolored/mis colored...but if done nicely..the outsome for me was satisfactory....(its a spray can, and its easy!) just drying is the hard part!

Look at this:

Fabic spray them to match your seats....this way, you'll always have your original mats as well!!

Target

Postby JMSinMaryland » Wed Jan 15, 2003 10:06 pm

Target sells plastic floor mat covers that give anything in the market a run for it's money. They are clear, heavy duty with enough channels that I have gone months without cleaning them and they hold all the dirt in. Rinse them under water and they are as good as new. The don't slide and they don't curl. My Solara carpet mats still look brand new. They can be picked up for 12.99 per. If anyone is down and can't find them let me know and I'll help you out. As I said these really are top of the line. I believe they sell them under the name "Car and Driver." Jon.

Are there any all-weather mats that are exactly, or very close to the sizes of the stock floormats? The last thing I would want are really small floor mats in the rear, leaving most of it clean, but the rest dirty. Thanks
