Could there be a possibility to make a radiator hard pipe for for the bottom side too and put a bung or something to insert a temperature probe for a water temperature gauge?

Wouldnt it be a disadvantage for those who didnt buy the torque rods and all. Imagine the engine rocking back and fourth.. WOuldnt that yank on the two rubber ends?

I would be concerned about the same thing during engine torque roll. (Might this lead to cracking the inlet of the radiator? )

I'd recommend a pipe routing that allows a 45° - 90° bend in rubber somewhere in the middle. Then cover the flex section with braided stainless cover. (The bend will permit flexing better than a straight section.)

That's my ride :D

From what they tell me they've used that setup many times before. I believe quite a few on some Supras that never had any problems. Remember, these guys build race cars, I think they would know if this was bad. If you all have more knowledge than these guys, please let us know from your experience.

BTW, stupid Keyes Toyota put loctite on the alternator pivot bolt (which was suppose to be hand tight  ), so their having trouble fixing my crank shaft leak. Since Keyes did it over 3 years ago, they won't do anything about it...:x

The Supra, being rear wheel drive wouldn't have a problem. Engine roll is right / left. (This would be a twisting effect on the rubber portions of the radiator hose. It could withstand it if the engine mounts are not really soft.) The Solara, being FWD has fore/aft engine roll. You can imagine the effect on the rubber sections. (Sheer motion stress) Depending on how tight the rubber sections are, it could fatigue the radiator inlet.

(My guess is that this is where the weakest point would be. Thinner materials at a 90° joint to the radiator body.)

This is all theory, but it really makes sense.

Danny, a former member here had it on his ride w/o any problems. He had the original pipe that was made some years ago.

Sounds good. Like I mentioned before, it was just a concern based on theory.

I'm in exhaust design and we have similar issues to deal with under the car. (Exhaust pipe fatigue due to engine roll.)

Keep us posted on the parts availability. I look forward to seeing a finished product.
