I know someone has mentioned this before but I cant find the info. Do any of you know how to "fix" the car so I can start it without having to step on the clutch? Thanks in advance!

There is a swtich on the clutch pedal.. You can see it if you look up the clutch pedal... Just tap those two lines together and it will start without the clutch.

Ive dont it and still have.. I dont trust my autostart alarm too much to by pass the clutch so I tap the line manually so I never have to clutch in or let the alarm do it. Im sure your already know the danger of tapping the line.. leaving car in gear and forgetting is not fun when you start thinking your car is automatic.

the clutch pedal switch is a grounded switch. all you have to do is ground the wire out.

I've got that done to my solara... I start it w\ my auto start all the time... what I did was ran a switch inbetween the neutral clutch pedal switch so I can switch it off and just start it when I leave the car out of gear, then when I leave it in gear I flip the switch which disables the auto start and you have to push the clutch in to start it.. works really well

I love it

basically its a ground switch if I remember right... so what I did was tapped the line coming out of the switch (cut it and put the switch inbetween) and ran it to somewhere it was really accessable, then the other part of the switch grounds... so when the switch is on, it grounds and I can auto start, and when its off you can't...

What I do is when I am getting out of the car, if I leave it in gear I flip the switch so I don't hit the auto start if I forget.. works like a charm...

this is exactly what i'm trying to do, you wouldnt happen to have detail instructions would you? I'm not even sure where to look for these wires hehe.

they come off the clutch pedal.. If I remember right there is just one selenoid on the clutch pedal.. what I did was tested the wires and pushed the clutch pedal in after I had it hooked up to see if it was grounding.. once I found which one grounded when I pushed the clutch in, I chose the other one since it is a continuous ground.. then I snipped that and ran it to a switch then hooked the other wire up to the other wire attached to the pedal.. that way you have a con't ground when you have the switch flipped, but not when you have the switch off... Ill see if I can't get some pics or something, but it will probably be next weekend before I get that done cause im away at school, but ill be back at my car next weekend... it shouldn't be too hard to do..
