Question about fog lights?

Question about fog lights?

Postby LatinDragonXJC » Fri Nov 04, 2005 3:50 am

I never bothered to check until tonight, but my fog lights weren't on. Are they supposed to turn on as soon as the headlights come on? or Do I need to change them? Thanks in advance.

Yeah they turn on with the head lights. . . Make sure you have the switch for the fog lights on. . . also check out the bulb and look for the fuse. . . and if that doesn't work than I don't know maybe someone that knows more about fog lights can help you out

my foglights only turn on if i have the foglight switch on the left control stalk switched on. regardless if you set your main headlights to off (auto) or on, the fogs will only come on if that secondary fog switch is turned/kept in the on position.

Straight from factory the fogs are suppose to come on only when you have the headlights on.
Some members on here have wired them to turn on command, regardless if the headlights are on or not.
Bulbs are burnt out or fuse out; check those.

Ok I thought about it a bit, now when you guys say headlights on, does that automatically include the DRLs at night or do I manually have to twist the stalk and turn on the headlights?

Ima replace them anyhow for some silverstars, one of my boys has a good discount at pep boys and Ima rack up tomorrow with goodies for her.

For Gen1:

When no headlights, or DRLs are on, fogs stay off regardless of switch.

If you MANUALLY turn on headlights, foglights come on IF the switch for the fogs is on

If they come on because of the twilight sensor, foglights also come on IF the switch for the fogs is on.

If the switch for the fogs are off, they will come on under no circumstance

i've also found that the fog will SHUT OFF if the high beam is on, irregardless if the fog light switch is on or off.
