Is the seller using a HID coversion kit (H4)? If so it will probably fit (with some modifications that is). Some kits out there require some adjustments to be made in order for them fit.

 The problem you might run into is the headlight grommet that covers the H4 bulb in the Gen1's. The MCulloch kit has a has a little grommet disc that is attached to the HID bulb. In order to seal it from any kind of moisture, you will need to use some silicone chulk to bond the factory headlamp grommet to the MCulloch disc. The CATZ didn't seal as well as the MCulloch units.

Do you have any pictures of the unit/kit from the seller? I hope this extra info helps you out.

I have doubts that it will fit due to the complexity it might involve. For instance the HID balast unit connection that is used by the OEM is not a standard retrofitting plug. The connector on the GEN1 is a three way connector spec'd for a H4 bulb (dual filiment bulb). You would have to check out the connectors key way on the Solara and the one used on the Nissan Max. Now if the pin are right, you might have a chance. The other thing to look out for is that Nissan OEM wiring might be spec'd to have a higher voltage supply to the balast unit. In other words, the wiring harness used the OEM (nissan) is using a thicher gauge wire. The Solara might be under gauge for this task to power up the HID unit. Being that it might be under gauged, you could fry the ballast unit or even worse, just burn out your engine bay wire harness. You see the plugs that are on the Solara are intergrated into the engine bay harness. This powers everythng from the the PDB (fuse box) to the ABS (braking system). IMO, it not worth the trouble to fry out your electrical system. This is just my 2 cents. Good Luck Bro
