HID Idiot needs answer

Ok Ok. Not in too much of a mood to search the million post for that single post but installing the HIDs and crap the factory harness is confusing me. What are the 3 wires on the factory harness? Positive, negative, and highbeam? I dont know what is what to tap.. Anyone got a diagram of tapping? I have techone by they way and no harness.. Just straight up tapping prongs.

People dont complain oh why didnt you get this HID or that... I dont care. I got what I like so be it. Just help a man up..

the easy way to do it, get your hands on a multimeter, disconnect your bulbs, turn on your headlights, and test away, on the 3 prong it will be the top one, and one of the side prongs. Find your 12VDC, and you are set.

I have techone for my fogs, I like their ballasts, nicely sealed. Im using phillips ballst for the headlights though.

ok, then try this, plug in your ballast to the connector, the top pin on the H4 connector is the negative, one of the other 2 is the low beam positive.

the ballast has a polarity protection circuit, so you wont burn it out.

Sorry bout the multimeter idea.... Im a technician, so my bad... I assume too many things...lol

but its a simple plug and play thing.

1) insert bulbs into headlight
2) connect bulbs to ballast
3) connect ballast to H4 connectors

Let there be light.... have fun.

tiewrap the wiring, secure the ballasts, 20-30 minutes youre done man.

BTW how much did you pay for your kit?

and they do sell wiring kits, I like those cuz the wiring is neater.

Cool beans got it working... Not too shabby. was expecting more out of it. But at least I can see when I drive home tonight.. I paid 250 shipped for mine.. shipping took 2 days.

Oh yeah, i forgot to tell you that...

I used some all weather sealant tape to secure/cover those prongs. Especially under the fenders connected to my fogs....

For ANY electrical issues, you don't need a multimeter. A multimeter just tells you how much current is going thru, that's way too much info you need to fix something. Just go to Schmuck's and get a $7 Hot Wire Tester. Or if you want to go cheaper than that, wire up a light bulb.
Multimeters are way overkill for the amateur to moderate electrical modder. For your purposes, a Hot Wire Tester (aka Light Bulb) is all you need to solve an electrical issue. And it's always good practice to make sure your connecting neg to neg and pos to pos with a Hot Wire Tester beforehand, so you don't F anything up.
And Dat, to correct your first post, in the headlight harness there is a constant ground, a positive for low beams, and a positive for high beams.
