I saw a Gen 1.5 convertible with side skirts, thats it none in front or back. It looks factory. Is this standard on some verts or is it a 2 piece TRD kit?

The Gen 1 and Gen 1.5 Convert both had stock side skirts. They are used to cover up some of the extra frame work done for the converts.

Side needs to be stiffened up due to no solid roof to hold it together.

Its like building a bridge without the suspension.

makes sense. I forget how much the roof holds the car together.
