What I found this morning

Postby neo6205 » Mon Dec 12, 2005 9:50 pm

I went to the local Toyota dealership and got quoted on the pain. A little over $4,000 for to paint the entire car minus the spoiler and rear bumper cover. Im also pulling a fast one on insurance and told the adjuster that I noticed a big dent behind the front drivers side wheel. It happened over the summer at a concert at Alpine Valley. Figure why not get them to take care of it?

They are also refinishing the front bumper. Dont know how they refinish the little rock knicks out of plastic? crappy thing is the guy told me I should wait until spring so I dont have to worry about salt getting on my new paint. Guess I'll just have to leave it a little dirty for the rest of winter.

Yeah thats what I would do too, wait till after winter so that way the salt wont hurt it this year. If you find out who that was I would definatly make them pay for it. Even if you have to take them to court to get them to pay. That is going to raise your insurance rates.

Im friends with a top local insurance agent and she said that claims under "not my fault" wont raise my rate unless I claim a lot. She said its the "my fault" claims that will jack up your premium right away.

Pulp Fiction on keying cars...
Lance: Still got your Malibu?
Vincent: Aw, man. You know what some jerk did the other day?
Lance: What?
Vincent: F***ing keyed it.
Lance: Oh, man, that's f***ed up.
Vincent: Tell me about it. I had it in storage for three years, it was out for five days and some d**kless piece of crap f***ed with it.
Lance: They should be f***ing killed. No trial, no jury, straight to execution.
Vincent: Boy, I wish I could've caught him doing it. I'd have given anything to catch that asshole doing it. It'd been worth him doing it just so I could've caught him doing it.
Lance: What a f***er!
Vincent: What's more chickenshit than f***ing with a man's automobile? I mean, don't f*ck with another man's vehicle.
Lance: You don't do it.
Vincent: It's just against the rules.

Thats good that your rates dont go up. Man I need to switch insurance companies. We have a "free" towing plan with our insurance. Well when I had to actually use the towing service when my clutch went out on my camaro, free wasnt so free anymore. They increased my rates for using the free towing service.

well, you might not want to wait if you've already filled up your deductible.

Also won't salt and water be hazardous to exposed metal?
