Hey guess what, there's actually three kinds: Chrome, C/F, and Black. Check this out: http://www.anzousa.com/taillights1.asp?man=TOYOTA

But they don't have the picture for the black yet. Maybe later.

I say, if you like 'em, get 'em. Mostly we like to make our cars different to stand out, or to have TRD badging/mods because, well, TRD is the performance arm of Toyota, that with which we compete with the AMG of Mercedes, the M of BMW, SVT of Ford, etc.

For me, since I don't see many Solaras here in Providence, if I had mods on my car, they would make my ride that much more different and unique.

I just can't decide which would look better on a silver car, regular chrome or carbon fiber...

(btw---just discovered that an ER resident and a urology resident here both drive black SLE V6's, and of course encouraged them to join Solaraguy.com!)

If anyone's interested in buying the CF, here's how it would look like on a silver Solara. Not bad IMO.

Very, very interesting! Nice Photoshop by the way. I think that those CF tails could be a good alternative to the 02' tails that I have now. But for now, I think I'll pass... not bad though, at least someone is thinking about us on the aftermarket idea.

I have some of the CFs coming :) , and I would really like to see some projector headlights on my car as well. Projectors would look ultra cool, and offer some functionality! I will try to post some pictures of the CFs, on my car, on CarDomain.com after I install them.
Let's just pretend I didn't grow up, or you're going to be terribly disappointed.

You're welcome. I didn't actually had those on my car. I photoshoped both. The first one is on my 02 SE. The second one is from someone else's Solara. Yeah, although I like the 02 taillights, I think the CF ones would be an improvement over it.

Skyline Taillights

Postby JMSinMaryland » Wed Jan 29, 2003 10:16 pm

I always thought that the Solara taillights are similar to the Skyline GT-R's taillights. Someone want to photoshop a cover onto the Solara taillights to make it look similar? Jon.
